about
April

A comforting and non-judgmental presence focused on prioritizing relationships with clients in order to foster growth and change.

April graduated from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse before going on to receive a masters degree in Community and Mental Health Counseling from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in 2010.

Since the start of April's college career, she pursued work in the mental health field beginning with youth in a local day treatment program. April went on to work in a residential treatment center in Green Bay for youth across the state removed from their homes. She also spent years conducting in-home mental health therapy for at-risk youth and their families in Madison, Janesville, Beloit, and various communities within Jefferson County. April also contracted with schools in Dane County to provide mental health treatment to students in the school setting.

In the nine years since returning to the La Crosse area April has worked in the outpatient setting alongside individuals of all ages and walks of life. Whether one of the many college students looking for guidance in their paths towards adulthood or individuals adjusting to retirement, April enjoys the privilege of being invited into the lives of many individuals and families within the La Crosse and surrounding area communities.

Outside
of the Office

When I'm not in session, you'll find me traveling, crocheting, completing home renovation projects (the list is ever-growing!), camping with my friends and family, and of course during football season- watching the Packers and winning at fantasy football 😁

I'm also a fierce advocate and ally for the LGBTQIA+ community and take any opportunity I can to demonstrate my commitment to demanding the fair and equal treatment of members within the community.
